Steven H. Lofgran, MD

Internist

Dr. Lofgran is a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician. Academic interests include critical care, inpatient medicine (Hospitalist Medicine), and general outpatient medicine, including diabetes management, pulmonary medicine, and refractory hypertension. Dr. Lofgran especially enjoys taking care of patients who smoke, and yes, he will ask you at every visit if you have quit yet.

Brian P. Beesley, MD

Family Physician

Dr. Beesley graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology in 2003, and Idaho State University with a Master of Public Health in 2007. Dr. Beesley then attended the University of Utah School of Medicine where he graduated in 2011. He then did his residency at St. Marks Family Medicine in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Beesley is board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine.


Rex A. Meredith, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Rex, a Physician Assistant Nationally Certified in Adult Medicine, is an Idaho native, born and raised in Pocatello. He attended Idaho State University where he received his Bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in Zoology. He went to PA school in Philippi, West Virginia before moving back to Southeast Idaho.


Michael M. Packer, MD

Family Physician

Dr. Packer graduated from Ricks College in 1988 and the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1990. He then attended the University of Washington School of Medicine where he graduated in 1994. Dr. Packer then did his residency at John Peter Smith Hospital Family Medicine until 1997.

Travis J. Weiszhaar, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Travis attended Boise State University for his Bachelors of Science. After graduating he went to Des Moines University for his Physician Assistant degree and later got a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska.Travis is a member of the American Academy of Physicians Assistants and is currently serving as a Lt. Colonel in the Idaho National Guard.


Gene P. Gates, MD

Dr. Gates has been practicing Pediatrics in Rexburg, Idaho since June, 1992. He is originally from Louisiana. His medical education was from LSU Medical Center in New Orleans. His interests include all areas of Pediatric care and Neonatology. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics and has done a fellowship in Neonatology.

Douglas G. Cottrell, DO

Pediatrician

Dr. Cottrell was raised in Raytown, MO, a suburb of Kansas City. He graduated with honors from Graceland University in Lamoni, IA. He graduated from Kansas City University Hospital, Kansas City, MO in 1982. Dr. Cottrell practiced in the Midwest for the next 24 yrs until moving to Idaho in 2004. During his tenure in the Midwest, he was on the teaching faculties of University Hospital, St. Louis Children’s Hospital and the University of Nebraska School of Medicine. Dr. Cottrell is a recognized Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Jason E. Hymas, MD

Pediatrician

Dr. Hymas grew up in Sugar City. After graduating from Ricks College and BYU-Idaho, he attended the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and completed his residency at the Children’s Hospital and Medical Center in Omaha. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Hymas enjoys all of Pediatrics, but has a special interest in preventive medicine, newborn care, and treating childhood obesity.

Abram A. Collard, DO

Dr. Collard graduated from Brigham Young University – Idaho with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2007. He then attended Medical School at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine where he graduated in 2012. Dr. Collard then did pediatric residencies at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the Children’s Hospital and Medical Center, both located in Omaha Nebraska. Dr. Collard is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and certified in Pediatric Fundamental Critical Care Support (PFCCS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and in the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

Mark was born and raised in Rexburg, ID. Following as LDS mission in Hong Kong, he attended Ricks College and later transferred to Idaho State University. He completed his Physician Assistant Studies at Jefferson College of Heath Sciences in Roanoke, VA. He is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Born and raised in Sugar City, Dave graduated Idaho State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2001. During school, Dave gained experience as a general contractor and upon graduating started his own residential construction company based out of Victor, Idaho. In 2011, Dave made the decision to go back to school to pursue his dream of practicing medicine. As a result, in 2013 Dave graduated as a Physician Assistant from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York. Dave is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Dr. Lovell was born and raised in Ririe, Idaho on a potato farm. He is known as “Captain Calm” by his associates because of his composed and unruffled demeanor. After missionary service in Germany, he graduated with high honors from the University of Utah’s School of Medicine. His OB residency was done at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan. He is recognized as a fellow by the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.

Robert E. Meredith, DO

Dr. Meredith returned to the Rexburg area after training in Missouri and Ohio. He was born and raised in Southeast Idaho in Pocatello. He and his wife, Jenilyn, have five children. They love to be active, participating in sports, snowboarding, mountain biking and anything else that will keep them moving. Dr. Meredith received his training at the Kirksville college of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville Missouri and finished a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology through Ohio University at Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio.

Dr. Codd is originally from Lethbridge, Alberta. His first extended trip across the border was to serve an LDS mission in Las Vegas, Nevada. He later pursued his undergraduate degree in Zoology/Business at Brigham Young University. His medical training then took him to A.T. Still University of Health Sciences in Kirksville, Missouri. He later completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Akron General Medical Center where he also served as a faculty member at Northeast Ohio Medical University.

Dr. Packer graduated from Brigham Young University – Idaho with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2007. He then attended Medical School at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine where he graduated in 2011. Dr. Packer then did an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at York Hospital in York Pennsylvania. Dr. Packer is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and members of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the Society of Robotic Surgeons, and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.

Marie obtained her nursing degree from Brigham Young University - Idaho before becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife. She obtained her graduate degree in midwifery from the University of Cincinnati. Marie is certified from the American Midwifery Certification Board as well as the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners.

Nurse Practitioner

Linda is a Women’s Health Nurse Practictioner. She graduated with her master of nursing degree from University of Cincinnati and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Society of Nursing. Her career as a nurse began over 30 years ago in labor and delivery at Madison Memorial Hospital.
